MALAIKA is Al Malaika for Manufacturing Textiles S.A.E. with its seat in Cairo, Egypt. It was founded in 2004 by Margarita Andrade and Goya Gallagher (see Our Story for more details).
In 2017, Al Malaika for Manufacturing Textiles S.A.E. founded Malaika Online Store GmbH in Berlin, Germany, with a German partner for their worldwide online activities. All purchases made online are handled and shipped from Germany by Malaika Online Store GmbH.

HOW LONG DO BESPOKE ITEMS TAKE TO DELIVER?
Hand embroidery requires the utmost concentration and cannot be rushed. For this reason, bespoke items take a minimum of 2 - 4 weeks work, depending on the amount of embroidery required. Because we use the highest quality materials and dedicate much attention to quality, the process can be particularly time intensive.
ARE THERE IMPERFECTIONS?
Each piece is hand embroidered by a single skilled woman, who can quickly point out her own work by the stitch. No two items are exactly the same, and this model of craftsmanship contributes to the uniqueness of MALAIKA in both its operations and product design approach. Our ability to maintain quality control is paramount nonetheless, so our business model focuses on maintaining the best standards in all of our work.
DO YOU SELL YOUR PRODUCTS IN SHOPS?
MALAIKA products are currently sold in luxury department stores and boutiques across the Middle East. We plan to open showrooms in Europe and North America in the near future. In the meantime, you can order online or contact us for bespoke requests.
